Mind Blown

Just thinking about how confused the disciples must have been on Saturday…
An excerpt from my message last night at Snaz Uth (Summerside Nazarene Youth Ministry):
“For the last several months I have sensed God leading me to something new and different.
After a lot of prayer with Dena, our family, Pastor Bob, and others, I have resigned from my role as youth pastor in order to follow God’s lead. This step of faith has been difficult and I’m already feeling the painful loss. But, as difficult as it is, we are confident that this is God’s leading. I’ll be finishing up the sick leave that the church has given me until mid-April and will spend the last couple of weeks in April preparing for the transition. I will continue in my role until April 31 and begin in my new position on May 2 at the Salvation Army in Yarmouth Nova Scotia as Youth Pastor and Director of family and community Services.
I can’t even begin to put into words how grateful I am for my years serving here. I have so many great memories and friendships and wonderful feelings confirming God used me here. These have been incredible years for me! From working with teens to teaching adults to building the small group program to becoming closer to Jesus. It has been quite a ride! I am a better person and deeper thinker and a more committed follower of Jesus because of my job and my friendships with you guys. When I think of our church I know I am blessed.”
Thank you to everyone reading this for your prayers during this transition time. Please pray for the transition of leadership within Summerside Nazarene’s youth ministry, for the life transition that Dena, the kids and I face and for the exciting opportunity God has given us with the Salvation Army in Yarmouth.
